Construction Site Update

Warehouse expansion at the north plant in Holzminden

Easily visible from the large employee car park at STIEBEL ELTRON's headquarters: the construction site next to the finished goods warehouse at the North plant in Holzminden, Germany - this is where an extension to the warehouse will be built in the coming months. The existing 9,600 square metres of storage space will be supplemented by 6,000 square metres. The site has already been prepared for several weeks: ground has been removed and levelled. The main construction work is almost done, so the building will be ready in November.

Soil fillings are being carried out in preparation for the creation of a new parking space. On the opposite side of the road in the direction of the river Weser, a construction measure is also being prepared: "Here the project is a little further in the future," explains Frank Günther, Head of factory planning and maintenance. "In the long term, we will expand the employee car park in this area." This is a logical step; after all, part of the employee car park is currently being converted to expand the logistics centre, Günther explains.

Growth in all areas

The company's growth is noticeable in many areas: Expansion of production, expansion of the logistics centre, a high volume of orders and much more. "After a successful 2021, the demand for heat pumps has risen massively this year, and we naturally want to meet this demand in the best possible way," explains Managing Director Dr Kai Schiefelbein. "The expansion of production, logistics, and our service offering is, therefore, a necessary step in the successful development of our company."
