Product Overview
The WPL 24 A air source hydronic heat pump from STIEBEL ELTRON provides high-temperature flow-rates up to 65°C to allow for both in-slab and radiator heating. Innovative technology such as a modulating fan control and advanced vapour injection guarantees unbeatable efficiency.
Product Details
Application
The compact air source heat pump with output-dependent control and inverter technology is installed in outdoor areas and is suitable for open spaces installation. The WPL 24A can be used for modernisation since it provides a flow temperature of up to 65 °C all year round for heating operation and DHW heating.
Convenience features
Very quiet operation due to the encapsulated refrigerant circuit and acoustically isolated compressor. The modulating fan and the wide gaps between the evaporator fins, which create low air resistance, also help to minimise the sound power level. Monoenergetic operation is possible thanks to an emergency/auxiliary heater. The metal casing is protected against corrosion by hot-dip galvanised, powder-coated sheet steel, with an alpine white stove enamel finish.
Efficiency
The WPL 24 A can achieve high flow temperatures all year round thanks to the combined enhanced vapour injection that cools the scroll compressor at low outside temperatures. In addition, the system's overall efficiency is increased by on-demand defrosting through circuit reversal and heating of the condensate pan by the refrigerant circuit. The waste heat from the inverter raises the return temperature, allowing operation without an auxiliary heater.
Installation
The heat pump with integral anti-vibration mounts is directly connected to the heating system.
